Abstract
Objective: To describe coffee consumption habits and preferences in Mexican subjects. Methodology: Descriptive cross-sectional study. A virtual questionnaire of 19 items on coffee consumption habits was designed. Results: A total of 2,628 subjects participated, 72.6% were women. A total of 69.9% drank 1-3
cups/coffee/day. There were more overweight than normal weight participants who consumed ≥ 4 cups/coffee/day. Conclusions: Coffee consumption reported in this study coincides with previous reports in Mexico. In addition, differences in coffee consumption habits were observed between men and women and according to BMI.
