Abstract

Sports nutrition is a specialized branch of nutrition, which aims to apply strategies that improve sports performance and recovery in athletes. The FIFA Men's World Cup is the most prestigious tournament in the world, held every four years, and 32 nations compete against each other for the title. On this occasion, the tournament was held in Qatar (Middle East), being the first Arab country to host a World Cup. When the time comes, and after all the detailed planning in advance, we must ensure, as a nutrition team, that the players are optimally prepared for all the nutritional considerations involved in participating in a World Cup. The careful design and implementation of all the key strategies will have a great impact on the performance and recovery of the players, contributing a grain of sand and thus contributing to the success of the team. Nutritional support for soccer in our country must be recognized as a key and essential component to maximize the performance, health and recovery of soccer players.
