Abstract

For dietitians-nutritionists, research is a complementary transversal professional field and support in professional performance, which enriches the basic fields of the discipline and broadens opportunities in the labor market. The associations are committed to making contributions to the construction of advances in knowledge in the various areas of specialization; and the publication of scientific texts is one way to do it. In 2017,  RED Ciencia y Nutrición (REDCieN) project was created by the Mexican College of Dieticians A.C. (CMN) to offer a space for scientific dissemination for dietitians-nutritionists research on food, nutrition and health issues, as well as to promote Evidence-Based Practice among the dietitians. The REDCieN Electronic Journal has been strengthened over the years and with the support of the knowledge of the management of scientific journals; there is still much work to be done, but the project is on the way to achieving its goals and objectives and will continue to contribute to the generation of knowledge in food and nutrition to support the resolution of public health problems.
