Abstract

The main objective of this symposium was to guide nutrition professionals on the options of scientific publications available in Mexico. Various national journals specialized in the field of nutrition and health were discussed, emphasizing their importance and relevance in disseminating research and
knowledge. Criteria for journal selection were presented, including peer review and accessibility of publications. Each presentation provided practical recommendations on how to prepare and submit manuscripts, highlighting the importance of following the author guidelines of each journal to increase
acceptance chances. Additionally, the symposium emphasized the relevance of ethics in scientific publishing and the need to avoid practices such as plagiarism and duplicate publication. In conclusion, the symposium underscored the diversity and quality of Mexican scientific journals in nutrition, equipping nutritionists with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively disseminate their research at the 37th National Congress of AMMFEN.
